Manitowoc's Burger Boat Company has named Bill Pauwels  its 2018 Associate of the Year.

Pauwels, who began at Burger Boat more than 18 years ago, is a Joinery Department coordinator. He helps oversee much of the joiner work adorning each new yacht.

The release said he was also a significant contributor in the construction of the first Burger 48 Cruiser, BLUE BOAT HOME.

“We believe it’s important that clients get to know the individuals building their yachts,” said Jim Ruffolo, president and CEO of Burger Boat Company. “It helps build trust and respect for everyone involved in the construction of each new yacht. Bill is an incredible example of the talent and dedication our customers can expect from our team of exceptional shipbuilders. We’re proud to celebrate his work with this award.”
