Promotions
Tom Royer, a third-generation owner of U.S. Retail Flowers Inc. has taken over as CEO. He had served as chief operating officer for the past 20 years. He replaces Greg Royer, a third-generation owner of family-owned U.S. Retail Flowers Inc. who previously served as president and CEO. Greg Royer will continue as chairman of the board of the Lebanon County-based company which operates the 16 Royer’s Flowers & Gifts stores in Pennsylvania and three Connells Maple Lee Flowers & Gifts stores in Columbus, Ohio. Greg Royer and Tom Royer each have been with the company for more than 40 years. U.S. Retail Flowers also announced several promotions: Barry Spengler, vice president of operations, was promoted to chief administrative officer, responsible for facilities and vehicles; Cheryl Brill, vice president of retail operations, was promoted to chief operating officer – retail. Geoff Royer, who has been responsible for central operations, was promoted to vice president of central operations in Pennsylvania.
