Walkers Maine awarded AAA Four Diamond Status

YORK � In less than one year since opening, Walkers Maine has achieved the coveted AAA Four Diamond status alongside seven other establishments in the state; including Fore Street Restaurant in Portland and Primo in Rockland. The announcement described Walkers Maine as offering �a distinctive fine-dining experience, employing creative preparations that are skillfully served amid upscale ambience.�

Chef Justin Walker says of the acknowledgement, �Being recognized with a Four Diamond by AAA is a career achievement for Danielle and me. Danielle�s instruction of our staff on how to provide true hospitality coupled with my ability to match that with our menu is key to this distinction."

Walkers Maine will be closing Feb. 23 and reopen on March 14 with it�s Spring Awakening, debuting a new menu and refreshed interior touches.

Walkers Maine is the culinary vision of Chef Justin Walker and his restauranteur wife Danielle Johnson Walker. The Walkers honed their skills at the acclaimed Arrows Restaurant in Ogunquit. Justin Walker was chef du cuisine while Danielle was manager and wine director. They went on to join forces at the esteemed Earth at Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport � Justin as executive chef and Danielle as general manager. Walkers Maine combines their love of food and wine with their enthusiasm for hospitality. They enjoy wearing many hats. Besides being co-owners, Danielle is manager, sommelier, chief gardener, soap and tincture maker, goatherd and beekeeper. Justin is a culinary artist, forager, and mentor�all titles that were a lifetime in the making.

Penobscot Investment Management Company acquires wealth management business
