The 10 Best Colleges for Business Majors and How Much New Grads Make

Business is now the most popular undergraduate degree of all. In fact, nearly one in five 2017 graduates studied a subject that falls in the category.

But not all programs are the same, and a business degree isn’t an automatic ticket to a lucrative career.

To help future CEOs and budding entrepreneurs find the colleges that stand out for their accounting, finance, marketing and management classes, we started with our Best Colleges ranking, which identifies the 727 schools in America that perform best in terms of affordability, educational quality, and alumni success. Then we narrowed the list down to schools with the strongest records in the field of business.

We looked at how many business degrees a college awards each year, both as a raw number and as a share of all the degrees awarded. We also weighed the earnings business-degree holders reported to Payscale.com within three years of graduation, excluding alumni with graduate degrees. The 10 colleges at the top of the list have average early career salaries of more than $66,000.
