
IHOP, an iconic diner chain, known mostly for its pancakes and other breakfast fare, is coming to Suntree/Viera on Wickham Road, a block northeast of Murrell Road. An opening date hasn't been announced.
That location last was the site of a Denny's restaurant and the building has been vacant for a few years.
IHOP, while widely known for breakfast also offers a menu of lunch and dinner items. The company has 1,650 locations, including three others in Brevard County.
Serene Harbor seeking sponsors for fundraiser

Serene Harbor, partnering with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Brevard County
Fire Rescue and Rockwell Collins, will host its ninth annual “Stomping Out the Violence ”
fundraiser from 6–10 p.m. on March 15 at Space Coast Convention Center in Cocoa.
This event is aimed adding more focus on the cause of prevention of violence against women.
The program will include a live show, dinner, cash bar, dancing and music from
Timmy Vee, There will be a vendor area for shopping, and local artists will be participating by painting a pair of “purple heels.”
The event will also include the popular “Men’s March” where “amazing men in the
walk in women’s purple high heels to show their support to put an end to domestic violence in the community.”
In 2017, law–enforcement agencies in Brevard County reported 4,192 domestic
violence offenses, or more than 11 offenses per day.

Ribbon cutting for new hotel

Townplace Suites By Marriott will have a a ribbon cutting event from 4-6 p.m. Jan. 17 at 4815 Helen Hauser Boulevard, Titusville.
TownePlace Suites is a brand operated by Marriott International. The chain is part of the mid-tier extended stay lodging segment of the hospitality industry and consists of all-suites hotels. TownePlace Suites operates more than 300 hotels in the United States and Canada.
