Earth Fare to open next Wednesday
Earth Fare, which bills itself as a growing specialty grocer boasting mainly organic produce and other supermarket items, says it will open its doors at 7 a.m. next Wednesday in Viera.
Earth Fare's opening at the northwest corner of Viera Boulevard and Murrell Road, has been highly anticipated by many in the Central Brevard County area who over the years have witnessed it going first from a Kash n’ Karry supermarket and then a health club.
The grand opening will include Earth Fare's president and CEO, Frank Scorpiniti. The grocer is headquartered just outside Asheville, North Carolina.

New 50-plus community in Viera
Pollack Shores Real Estate Group, a multifamily developer and investment firm recently announced plans to develop 166 active adult apartments in the Viera.
Ground breaking for Olea at Viera, which will have 166 units, is set for this month with an expected opening in April 2020.

The company recently built Marisol at Viera, a 282-unit luxury apartment complex at 2439 Casona Lane in Viera.
Lifeguard tryouts

Brevard County Ocean Rescue need lifeguards for 50 positions. Those hired on as ocean lifeguards will work from March to October 2019.
Those interested should meet at Rockledge High School’s swimming pool, located at 220 Raider Road, no later than 7 a.m. Saturday. Candidates will not be permitted to test if they are late.
Lifeguard experience isn’t necessary but candidates must be over the age of 16 by Jan. 15 and possess strong swimming skills.
All candidates must bring a valid driver’s license, Social Security card, appropriate swim attire, a towel and running shoes.
The starting pay for ocean lifeguards is $10.39 per hour.
Lifeguard Academy class dates for candidates selected Jan. 5 are January: 18, 19, 20, 21, 26 and 27.
