Partnership will help veterans get job training

LHPU, the training division of LHP Engineering Solution, and Ivy Tech Community College are partnering with the Indiana Department of Veterans’ Affairs. 

This partnership will help veterans with hands-on training and career development in the automotive and space industry.

LHPU and Ivy Tech have have implemented boot camp training for more than 600 students and engineering professionals.

Southside nurses wins nursing challenge

Franciscan Health’s emergency nurses swept top honors at the 2018 Indiana Emergency Nurses Association’s Academic Challenge.

The hospital had two four-person teams clinching first and third place in a statewide competition hosted by Franciscan Health Indianapolis in November.

Franciscan Health’s first-place team consisted of Cynthia Frankel, Joel Domingo, Cassie Cole and Tammy Williams. The third-place team members were Kara Neal, Jen Maupin, Patrice Gehring and Maddison Kellett.

IENA is an organization whose goal is to influence excellence in emergency nursing and emergency care through integration of leadership, education, advocacy, mentoring and collaboration.
