Ashtead Group, the construction and industrial equipment supplier, is leading the FTSE 100 fallers on Monday, with its share price down 3.8% at £18.88.
It is followed by luxury fashion house Burberry, down 1.9% at £18,30, which is due to publish its latest financials on Thursday.
Russian steekmaker Evraz is the biggest riser on the blue chip index, up 3.8% at 568.9p.
The wider FTSE 100 is down 0.14% at 7,083.95.
Insurer Hiscox expects growth in gross written premiums to slow towards the end of the year, making its shares the biggest faller on the FTSE 250, down 6.8% at £15.32.
The FTSE 250 is down 0.33% at 19,262.18.
