• The Environmental Center presented its 2018 Sustainability Awards to the following businesses and organizations: Nicole Timm-Branch and Central Oregon Locavore, Volcano Veggies, Wanderlust Tours, Bend Velo, Bend Science Station and Bethlehem Inn.

• Radler White Parks & Alexander LLP with offices in Bend and Portland was named one of the “Best Law Firms” in the ninth annual U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers survey. In Central Oregon, the firm is ranked in Tier 2 for its real estate practice.

• Vanilla Urban Threads plans to open a pop-up store, Cedar + Fig, in the Old Mill District for the holiday season. The shop will carry gifts, affordable clothing and shoes.

• Hoodoo Ski Area, 27400 Big Lake Road, Sisters, applied Nov. 5 to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission as a new outlet for an off-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider in factory sealed containers for consumption off the licensed premises.

• Trattoria Sbandati, 1444 NW College Way, Suite 4, Bend, applied to the OLCC Nov. 6 for the additional privilege of an off-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider in factory sealed containers for consumption off the licensed premises.
