Nov. 1: The fifth annual Manufacturing Expo is planned at Chico State University, with help from the campus chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Details: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bell Memorial Union Room 100. No cost. The annual event partners a variety of public school students with local businesses and Chico State students interested in manufacturing. Local businesses will weigh in on the kind of education needed for the jobs they have.
Nov. 7: The nonprofit SCORE Chico will be offering the free workshop “Simple Steps for Starting Your Own Business,” with help from Team Chico.
