New Hampshire Credit Unions recently presented a $200,000 donation to Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. This marks a 22-year total of more than $2.7 million raised by the New Hampshire Credit Unions. The amount raised surpassed the initial 2018 goal by $15,000 and was achieved through the collaboration and collective efforts of the state’s 15 credit unions with a series of statewide and local fundraising initiatives including its Make-A-Wish calendar raffle, Granite State Candy Shoppe candy bar sales, New Hampshire Chapter holiday auction, individual credit union donations, and the capstone event of the fundraising season, the Richard D. Mahoney Credit Union Charity Golf Tournament.
Meredith Village Savings Bank has pledged $750 to support the Wright Museum’s Remembrance Garden, a garden that will enhance the area near the museum wall in which memorial bricks have been placed.
Continental Paving was the 2017 winner of Acadia Insurance’s Synergy Excellence Award for New Hampshire. The Synergy Excellence Awards recognize one Acadia Synergy business customer in each state where Acadia operates. “Continental Paving earned the award because its leadership and employees have taken actions that directly contributed to mitigating their loss exposures and preventing accidents,” said Lisa Kilbreth, Acadia branch manager.

Sr. Peter Sands was welcomed by Stefanie Phillips, public information officer for Concord, and Greg Zini, Donna Rice and Angie Borden, Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce ambassadors. Sands earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, completed an internship in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital and completed a residency in dermatology at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta. Sands came to New England in 1994 to join Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic in Concord.
