HENRY SHEPHERD, Expo Alternative Learning Center administrator, received the Hope Hero Award from Waterloo Community Schools for bringing awareness and providing resources to fight cancer through ongoing research initiatives.

VIKKI DISTLER has been promoted at Veridian Credit to manager of ACH and share draft operations. Distler, a resident of Denver, has worked at Veridian for 27 years. She has a degree in business management with a minor in human resources from Upper Iowa University.
DANIEL LARMORE
DANIEL LARMORE, administrator of Grandview Heights Inc. in Marshalltown and a former health administrator in Waterloo, was presented the 2018 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award by the American College of Health Care Administrators. Fewer than 11 percent of facilities nationwide qualify for this award.
Matt Loesche, Emily Hacker, Mindy Gilroy, Michelle Damme
The Black Hawk Chapter of Credit Unions has chosen MATT LOESCHE as its president; EMILY HACKER, vice president; MINDY GILROY, treasurer; and MICHELLE DAMME, secretary. Loesche is vice president, Regional Branch Services for Dupaco Community Credit Union. This is his second term serving as chapter president. Hacker is branch manager at Veridian Credit Union in Cedar Falls. This is her third year as chapter vice president. Newly elected, Gilroy, works in the accounting department at Cedar Falls Community Credit Union. Damme, who has served as chapter secretary since 2015, is in marketing with Cedar Falls Community Credit Union.
JAYMI SHORES
JAYMI SHORES has joined Emergent Architecture in Cedar Falls as business manager. She has a degree in accounting and finance and has nearly 10 years of experience managing the business operations of an architectural firm.
JULIE VERSLUIS
JULIE VERSLUIS has joined First Security Bank & Trust, Charles City, as vice president and trust officer. Versluis, a native of Jesup, has 20 years of trust experience. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College with an AA degree in legal assistant/paralegal studies. She later graduated from Cannon Trust School, Cannon Financial Institute, and the Schools of Banking Trust in Topeka, Kan. She is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.
